New Year's resolution for blogging every week lasted all of two weeks. Typical. To add to the lateness I actually visited Momofuku Seiobo back in October. Whoops. But comparing notes it seems a lot of dishes are still on the menu in slight variations.
Momofuku and it's owner and chef David Chang are big kahunas in the food world. David Chang's famous pork bun is probably responsible for taking the humble 'bao' from your Asian granny to it's dizzy food trending heights. Knowing that I'll be consuming the Momofuku bao gives me butterflies.
The restaurant located in the Star is dimly lit and when Jefferson, Hollie, Robbo and I arrive for our 12.40pm booking, the buzz is busy but calm. The menu is a surprise until the very end but we know we're in for many dishes of awesome.
