I was extremely lucky to be invited to the blogger launch of 'Love to Cook' by the lovely and very down-to-earth Valli Little - food writer and delicious magazine's food director. Williams Sonoma's cooking school was a perfect setting to chat about the new cookbook, learn a bit about the lady behind the drool-inducing magazine and of course try a few tasty recipes from the book!
In the stunning kitchen, Valli whipped up salmon with Mexican flavours (page 74) and a gigantic jar of chocolate and hazelnut cheesecake (page 214). Both recipes were really simple, tasted delicious and had big wow factor. The chocolate cheesecake is made with..... NUTELLA!!! I love a cookbook that ain't too proud to use Nutella! And that's the whole theme of the book - to make regular cooks love cooking even more and to convert non-cookers with easy to follow recipes that will have you turning out spectacular dishes effortlessly. There are basic recipes throughout the book - like how to boil an egg correctly, making pesto, labne (something I've been wanting to try for a while), classic meringue and making the best ever chips.
